In this teacher training course there are 3 units in which you will understand the roles and responsibilities of a teacher involved in education and training and ways to maintain a protected and supportive learning environment. We will also explain relationships between teachers and other professionals in a working environment.

This course and each of its units places great stress on ‘inclusive teaching’ and by the end of the second unit you will understand what is inclusive teaching and why is it important? Ways to maintain an inclusive teaching and learning environment, how to plan, deliver, and evaluate the engagement and motivation of your own teaching practice.

By the end of the third unit you will have a clear understanding of the types and methods of assessment used in education and training, how to involve learners and others in the assessment process, and the role and use of constructive feedback in the assessment process.    

The Level 3 Award in Education and Training is available for all candidates who fulfill the following criteria set by the Awarding Organisations:

Age range: 19+

Core skills: (English, Maths) At least to A Levels standard.

Access to Internet using a laptop / pc / tablet using up to date Windows, Android or Apple operating systems.

    • Describe features of inclusive teaching and learning
    • Compare the strengths and limitations of teaching and learning approaches used in own area of specialism in relation to meeting individual learner needs
    • Explain why it is important to provide opportunities for learners to develop their English, mathematics, ICT and wider skills

    • Explain the purposes of types of assessment used in education and training
    • Describe characteristics of different methods of assessment in education and training
    • Compare the strengths and limitations of different assessment methods in relation to meeting individual learner needs.
    • Explain how different assessment methods can be adapted to meet individual learner needs.

Unit 2: Using and Delivering Inclusive Learning and Teaching Approaches in Lifelong Learning

2 x essay style assignments, 1 x session plan, tutor feedback, peer feedback and self-evaluation.

Unit 3: Understanding Assessment in Education and Training

1 x essay style assignment
