This course can be done by beginners as well as experienced trainers - you just need access to 30 hours of teaching. If you're stuck contact us and we may be able to arrange the 30 teaching hours for you, subject to availability and your sector specialisation.

  • Students enrolled
  • 140 Hours
  • PKR.55,000

In this course there are five compulsory units and some optional units.

The first unit will help you to understand the roles and responsibilities involved in education and teacher training. It will help you understand the relationships between teachers and other professionals in education and training, ways to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment, and explaining its importance. This unit overlaps with the Level 3 Award in Edcuation and Training and can be exempted if you have completed that course before.

The second unit goes further in depth into the planning stage of teaching. Planning happens before you and your learners step into the classroom. Yet, a good teacher is always assessing the learners' progress and level of knowledge and planning the steps ahead within the process of teaching. You will study various theories and models and analyse the numerous factors to be considered and planned into your teaching in order for it to be effective and inclusive.

The third unit focuses on the delivery of teaching. You learn the important factors to keep in mind during your teaching in class, how to manage behaviour, disruptions and involve your learners in the learning process. You will be able to involve and engage your learners in their learning. As your learners take on the responsibility of their learning, peer support and peer teaching will encourage them to participate and maintain discipline in the classroom.

After the completion of the fourth unit you will be able to analyse the role and use of initial, diagnostic and summative assessment in education and training. You will also learn to plan and conduct inclusive assessments in accordance with internal and external requirements, and identify opportunities for learners to provide feedback to inform your inclusive practice.

In the fifth compulsory unit you will look more in depth at the various resources you can utilise to make your role easier as well as to engage and motivate your learners.  Well-planned and engaging resources can reduce costs for your institution, aid you in the planning, delivery and assessment of your classes and also motivate your learners to actively participate in your lessons.

In addition to these 5 compulsory teacher training units, you will choose 2-3 optional units from a range of 28 units which will help customise your learning and skills to your subject expertise and career goals. Download the course brochure on the left to find some examples of the most popular teacher training optional units chosen by our trainee teachers.

By the end of the course you will have an understanding of how to analyse the teaching roles with the use of different assessment methods in individual learning goals. This means you will learn how to plan, practice, identify, and deliver effectively by creating an inclusive teaching and learning environment.
